Our School in Maguindanao

Our second project was in a remote village in a war-torn area of Maguindanao. We built a school, lodging, and providing full teaching support in partnership with the local government.

Sitio Senamfledon, Santa Fe, South Upi, Maguindanao is a far flung , mountainous community dominated by Indigenous Peoples—about 71 kilometers away from the City of Cotabato with rough roads going to the site. Because of its distance from the main center, the community has lesser access to development including the provision of good classrooms for school children.

We exceeded our goal and completed our project!

In July 2021, we officially turned over the three classroom IP school building to the local government unit of South Upi, teacher in charge and community.

Thank you to everyone who was and will continue to be a part of this great endeavor. We’re also so grateful for our donors, partners and supporters — you have made such a difference. This will provide a better learning environment for a hundred or so grade schoolers.

Our Partnerships

This proposed project is in partnership with the Women’s Organization of Rajah Mamalu Descendants (WORMD), a community-based women’s organization who work with the community and provide community outreach programs in the municipality of South Upi.
